Would be interesting to know how many have been sold into that market - would imagine they will be waiting for the new Esprit.

Never seen an Exige S1 over here…but doesnt mean there isn’t one stored away somewhere…could be a bit hot to drive in our weather!
I’ve got a pair of S1 Elises over here in Dubai & there have been others too, but some already shipped out. There’s a few 340R’s, one owned by the Sheikh of UAQ.
The yellow Exige was probably my old Cup 260, which I sold last year, the black one could be my current one, which I’ve had for the past 9 months.
If I could work out how to attach a few pictures, I’d be glad to give an insight of Lotus Life in the UAE…we have no offical dealer so all the Lotus’ post M100 Elan are grey imports.

Open a photo bucket account.
Upload from PC or iPad.
In your default album (on PC) there will be 4 or 5 boxes with addresses, one will say IMG Code http etc… Copy this one and paste it DIRECTLY to this dialogue box (don’t bother using the tab at the top in the full reply screen).
Using iPad app, in your album highlight the picture so it appears on it’s own. An icon looking like a chain will be visible as well as others top right of the screen, tap it and the boxes appear with the addresses to which IMG Code is there, copy and paste to here…not using the tab in the full reply screen.

Parents live out there as dads working on the etihad towers, so head out a fair bit.
Trouble is exige aircon isn’t great, and it’s SO hot our there. Dad had take back an RS6 and swap to a BMW as the aircon couldn’t keep up in the higher 40s low 50s.
Was in Dubai for the week, last week. Didn’t see any Lotus but Caymans and Cayennes were common as muck. Did see a Maserati MC12 one night, and also a Ferrari 599 and California. Red SLS outside the hotel most days.
Seen some lovely cars but NO exiges… They don’t know what they’re missing. Off to Dubai in the morning so I’ll keep a look out!

Got to Dubai yesterday how about the cars here! Went for a 45 min or so walk: 3 Fezzas, 2 Lambos, 2 Maseratis and a whole bunch of Porkers!
Well when petrol is �0.30 a litre you can see how we are getting ripped off!
You came past us in the black Exige when we had stopped at the side of the road (heading out towards the horse racing stadium). I was in my friends black Audi RS6 and we had stopped so I could drive it. Heard you before we saw you and thought I recognised the exhaust note.
