I’ve been enjoying Exiges.com for about a year.
Yeaterday I took my boy to the AMOC MESC meeting at Oulton to get a look ahead of maybe having a go next year and meet Graham from Plans to pick up some bits from my car.
Walking around I first recognised SeanB, having been introduced to him by Maddog Dave a couple of weeks before, well actually I recognised his brummie accent first as he and the Veronique team attempted to stem a petrol leak 10 minutes before practice. When I went back after practice the team were all underneath the car trying to fix a whole host of issues. On the third visit the boy and I are stood looking at the car, and Russel (whom I only recgonised since his Cadena GT3 outing) turned and encouraged my boy to get in the car. And he was chuffed if a little nervous especially when he could’t find the steering wheel, while Sean enlightened me about the on track irreleavnace of instruments and the contribution of data loggers; glad to know I’m not alone in tunnel vision on track! Thanks Sean
In the meantime Graham, ever helpfull, introduced me to Gavin Kirby who’s mods posted here are all those I’m in process on, and Gavin between consistently reducing his lap times spent every minute in between talking me through his progress and plans.
I even got to be involved in the design process for the forthcoming Maddog Motorsports S2 Front Splitter/Chaff Grenade and planned advertising campaign associated with the continuing success that is the Maddog Motorsports S2 Extended Diffuser/Helmet visor. They look great fitted Dave. Everybody should buy one!
We had to go before the race so I didn’t get to see the results, but can I thank you all for your time and hospitality and congratulate everyone on what is not just a great web site but a fantastic community.
Look forward to meeting more of you at Donnington and to track/race days in future,
Thanks
