Hi,
As you will gather from the following, I’m not a mechanical genius;
Battery dead on Exige as not used for a few weeks (should have put on trickle charge or disconnected battery).
Tried jump starting it and it was chugging away but not firing but I felt like it was getting ready to fire when all of a sudden it went dead and would no longer take charge from the other vehicle.
Dead battery or have I blown a fuse or tripped something else???
Any suggestions gratefully accepted.
Many Thanks
Hi,
Can any one tell me where the fuel inertia switch is???
Please Please Please, I’ve looked everywhere!!!
Thanks
It’s most probably your alarm that’s at fault,it often happens in these situations, try one of these Immobiliser Bypass | EliseParts
I’m guessing yours won’t start either then Jonny ??
bet you need a vino
On it already
I left a camera connected once after a track day and flattened the battery so much it wouldn’t jump start.
This wasn’t on the Lotus but the ecu needed something like 11volts to work, fitted a new battery and it was fine. With a bit of luck charging yours will work.
If its alarm related probably going to need the bypass plug linked above. Oh thats if you haven’t blown a fuse somewhere
Thanks to all for your replies.
Turns out it was the jump leads that were defective!
Will keep all the advice to hand for the future though.
Having this issue as we speak … wouldn’t jump off another vehicle am now leaving battery to charge …
Check all your ground connections…corrosion can strike ANYWHERE
Now fired up and bop pop popping away with glee … off to terrorise the locals!
