Just picked up my crome orange Exige from Kings in Warwick and the screen wash bottle seems to be splitanyone know how to change the bottle and more to the point where is the blasted thingits only 5 months old but I live in N Wales so its a long way back[This message has been edited by JohnC (edited 22 October 2001).]
In the Elise it’s in the front compartment just off centre (above the battery). It should just pull out (upwards).
John, congratulations on the car! I hope you enjoy it as much as the rest of us enjoy ours! If you get Kings to send you a replacement FOC it’s easy to swap yourself. [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image]
thanks guysbut the bottle is not in the same place as my elise it appears to be under the rubber around the radiator and all i can see is the filler neckKings will do it as the car is only 5 months old but its along way for just a bottle

I presume you have con air, in which case the arrangement in the front is totally different from the standard car, and from memory the water bottle’s more of a nuisance to get at. IIRC you can get at it by removing the radiator surround (remove the black plastic screws and it just lifts out), but don’t quote me on that.
Hey Dave, change that Mr Whitter’s membership to Expert!

You can see the water bottle if you remove the nearside front wheel and pull the wheelarch liner back. Maybe you could get to it that way…?T
TT is right. I have air con and the first time I went to top up the screen washer bottle all of the fluid fell straight onto the floor because the bottle had jumped off its mounting down behind the nearside headlight (RHD cars!). Remove the wheel and liner to get at the bottle and the associated pipework.Mike
