Saw below on a recent trip to Tokyo. I’m not an S1 expert but front and back don’t look Exige or Elise. Has anybody seen this before or is this a new species ? Eligious Tokious perhaps ? (ET for short !)

I think the rear engine hatch would have been good for the S1 exige from day one (without the funnel ).

As for the rest of it…oh dear

That car has been floating around for a few years.

It’s an elise with loads of body kit on it.

Where in Tokyo was it? In an Autobacs by the looks of things?

Theres a big “Go Faster” bits superstore in Tokyo. Just checked my invoice but it’s all in Japanese so don’t know the name. (went with a friend)

Next to this store is specialist car showroom which had this car in the window.

At Cadwell Exiges track day was taken with Pesky’s crash helmet and went there to get one. Much cheaper than U.K. !

If we continue to have heavy rain we might need this type of air intake ! We can race underwater or even take part in the Lotus “Bog Snorkling” championship together with the underwater mountain biking held this weekend !

You should have seen some of the other go faster Jap cars. They even had newish “S” class Mercs covered in spoilers, air intakes, massive wheels as well as the usual people carriers and vans covered in flashing lights and aero aids. Most of the parts where of very high quality but the taste !

From the looks of it, the “hatch” doesn’t even lift up… to get to the boot or the engine you’d have to take that hardtop right off.
