I am in the market for selling my S1 and buying an exige but I really need to have more knowledge on what different models etc. Lotus made, so I would be very grateful if some of you would answer the following questions. Many thanks in advance.
What year did the first exige appear?
what did the upgrade from 177BHP to 190BHP involve (items etc.)?
3.How does the engine spec differ from a standard 118BHP elise?
4.Does the exige have a sports exhaust as standard?
5.What size tyres are fitted as standard?

New thermostat, cam timing, new ECU. Earlier 190 upgrades also had crankcase venilation going to a catchtank rather than being routed back into the induction (giving a slight power gain).
3.How does the engine spec differ from a standard 118BHP elise?
Um… I know it has a VHPD head, not sure about the rest… someone else ??
4.Does the exige have a sports exhaust as standard?
No. The single-exit pipe (Super Sports Exhaust) was an option.
