Exige - Sold.. Gone !

BTW, what’s the prize?

ask David what the prize was for guessing his last car that was a V8 3.5l (ish?)…still waiting for my jelly babies

Could david be discovering where the real fun is and getting this ?

IDG wins ! It’s a V12 S600 LWB Merc… (hangs head in shame)

The only redeeming semi-cool feature, is that it’s the same lump that’s in the Pagain Zonda… no really

What with the Capri + BookaTrack’s Caterham I have my track usage sorted… and wanted something a bit more relaxing for the roads…

It’s got some toys too… over and above all the fancy stereo + satnav you’d expect, like each seat (front + rear 14-way adjustable reclining jobbies) having 10 cooling fans to stop your back getting sweaty on long runs… (or to circulate passed-wind hehe)… they also massage your back… and the seat bolsters automatically inflate during hard cornering to hold you in (not that you’ll do much hard cornering in them)…

When not being given full welly (I’ve seen 1.8mpg on the display !!) it shuts off some of it’s cylinders to save fuel (rather weak attempt at controlling awful fuel consumption).

Silly things, like, when a passenger sits in the back, the headrest pops up automatically, and turns the aircon on for that seat.

Still, gets to 60mph in a not too shabby sub-6 seconds, not bad for something which probably weighs over 2 tonnes.

I fully understand if you don’t want to talk to me any more… (what do you mean, “you didn’t want to talk to me before” !! )

(Not actual car, but same colour)

Ah, the joys of middle age, I remember them well.

Glad I’m now in my 2nd childhood, & wazzin about inth Exige

Rumour has it, you never left your first childhood !! (and fair play to you I say !)

One of these then? >

Think you might have hit the nail on the head here…it follows a theme that I can associate with david, although it could also be:

this but only with a hell of alot of options!

AMG version of the new 5.8-L V12 engine that will be offered for its CL Coupe

or if the Landrover was too upmarket but the offroad presence was still required…

does/could a brabus 6.0l V12 fit into a Smart car…

Yay! As a prize can I have my title changed to ‘Winner’ (I can’t believe I’m still Junior?!)

Neat towing car!

Capri!? Missed that. What’s the spec? Is it like the one EVO mag have been building?

Ian

Dear Mr Admin,

Never a truer word! But, what would life be, without my little cherub?

Mrs Pesky…

Have you just had a sex change ???

Are you really the old Mr Pesky ???

Mr Admin

You could fall out of one of them thar cars and bump yer head you know…

That might explain a lot…

'nother quiz for you then!

Just got me 7.2 litre V8 - any guesses?

probably cost about 1500 new !!

Cheers, Tim

Jensen Interceptor ?

Some Chrysler-block car ?

A Landie of some sought??

Hey, I’ve just noticed the URL in the corner of the pics of Mr Admin’s new car. I assume cars like that are aimed at Arabian or ‘Black suited’ Italian familys!?

Ian

Yep - Mr Admin got it - Big Block Chyrsler!

1970 Dodge Charger 440RT - shipped it over from Tennessee - needs a bit of work doing to it which is a bit daunting for someone who can just about about manage to change the oil on a Fiesta. Steep learning curve I suspect.

Sounds awesome though! 375bhp as standard alledgedly.

Cheers, Tim

Do you have any pics ? I very much like 69/70 Chargers… Some of the earlier 66/67 Chargers are cool too (though not quite as muscley)

Just e-mailed some pics if you’d like to put them up. It’s up on axle stands at the moment waiting for me to put a new fuel tank in this weekend. I’ll take some more pics when I’ve got it all sorted.

There’s a great place called YearOne in Georgia that sell loads of stuff for 60s and 70s muscle cars. From gaskets right up to a crate 575hp engine for $11K

Yep the 68/69/70 are known as the “second generation” Chargers - couldn’t think of a more opposite car to compliment the Exige - but I’m sure someone will come up with something!

Cheers, Tim

Tim sent me these pictures… I am very very jealous…

It’s a beautiful, beautiful thing…

Dukes of Hazard - yehaaa!

That Daisy Duke was a bit of alright too.

I think the ravages of time have fared better on the Chargers body though !
