As long as it is in the back of your mind and are prepared, it will be easier when it does happen
For now though, on track days try not to shock load the gearbox especially in 3rd, IE don’t accelerate hard on curbs, also be smooth bringing in the clutch to stop shock loading the gearbox, it won’t stop it breaking just delay it, you might get lucky for years, or be unlucky like JFK, mine lasted till the morning of my 2nd day at Spa and 2 previous track days
As far as I’m concerned though, the cost of a lost track day and my time I would put at least some prevention in, like the cooler and just plan to upgrade the gearbox as soon as funds allow

Firmly in my mind to prepare for failure now. It wont be tracked till March earliest next year. That should allow the shock of these upgrades to go away and prepare for doom.

Another issue that is also wallet related is that the more power you develop the more noise that is created for the track police and their microphones …
I got called in at Donington on my 2nd lap when I was on my 2.8 pulley 
With the noise thing I should be ok. Its super quiet with a sports cat and hangar111 exhaust
I am heading off now from work to collect my car. Anyone want to open a book on how long my gearbox will last?

I have a video of the whine. It’s not me giving it death - just a tickle. In 6th. Then dropping to 5th.

I have done around 120 mi in the car now. Really enjoying it. Have done a mix of motorway and non motorway miles. I am finding the supercharger whine intoxicating and the pull to the redline is fantastic.
I agree mine was very much like that, when you add into the mix the whine from the semi helical cut gears from the Jubu setup you just want to keep accelerating then braking, oh and just wait for the tunnels
I had a c63 with long tube manifolds on last time so tunnels will be good, but not great.
I am preparing myself for the gears. Seen SSC do some ( from Aus )
