Exige S1/Motorsport front lip

Anyone here who has a motorsport front lip laying around ? new or used ?

If shipping to Holland is an issue you can cut it in half.

Similar to this.

i can make you one for £100 plus shipping if that’s any good to you

I can do delivery for £25 in one piece lol

Hi Chris, I already have your kit on the car. Have a regular exige s1 lip now, but looking for the motorsport one.

I will send you a pm.

I’ve not got a pm? I do both front splitters mate, standard Exige and the Motorsport one.

In two minds about replacing my standard splitter as it’s seen better days from general wear and tear but also suffering from contact with a small deer!

Any more details on materials and price?

I use chop strand Matt and polyester resin and the front splitter is £120 standard or £100 for Motorsport. I can make them in any resin you want it just puts the price up slightly.

Thanks for the reply - you’ve answered it fully but due to my total ignorance on the subject I’m not able to make any sense of it.

How does it compare to the materials used in an OEM item and what would be the benefit of using other resins? If there’s a link to any website I can use to educate myself rather than have a long typed explanation then i have the time these days to go and read

You can look for epoxy resins ect, I buy the stuff from polyfibre in Birmingham and there web site gives a short description of the resin. To be honest polyester resins are fine for car body work I have never had any complaints. I made my first Exige kit in epoxy for my car and I didn’t notice any difference in the panel and it cost a fair bit more so I won’t be making anymore in epoxy unless someone wants it and is willing to pay the extra resin cost.

I’m not sure what lotus use in there clams to be fair.

Everyone making after market clams will be using polyester resins.

As it happens purely by chance I spoke with Polyfibre Bham last week and can confirm what Chris is saying about polyester resin and car bits. Epoxy is used with carbon fibre mianly.

I have an Exige body copy from Chris, quality is still fine after 2 or 3 years ( time flies )
