Oh dear , that car just doesnt look right

This soft top thing is just plain wrong!

You’ant kiddin!

Just glad boy old Pesky is in Le Man, it might be the death of him!

Ian

can i just clarify…

I WAS ONLY JOKING ABOUT THE SOFT TOP THING!!!

i know pesky hates them and just fancied a joke.
i do not intend on ever even trying to put a soft top on any exige that i get!
think i’d get banned from here if i did

The is no soft top kit for an S1, and you’d bugger the air intake.
Somebody managed to modify his S1 in order to be able to remove the hard top or re-install it, but not a soft top.

Uldis - a company called Kumschick - Fredy Kumschick is a Swiss Lotus dealer produced this right back in 2000/01:

I think he was a fan of our Nige

Oh no, no, no, NO!

How to miss the whole point of a car and do something so ugly. IT’S JUST WRONG!

who ever did that to the exige needs a slap to leave him looking

I swear, all Swiss roads look the same

Also, and I realise the risk in saying this, but as S1 soft top conversions go, that one actually looks fairly good .

David… GO TO YOUR ROOM

Dont get me wrong, I understand that all soft-top Exiges are inherently evil, but, purely from a manufacturing point of view, he has made quite a nice job of it, no

David

He used to ask 10 000 CHF for the conversion though
I must admit it looks soooo ugly on the beautiful S1, but, when you live in a place where you can drive the car all year long and enjoy the sunshine, I’d have one

Then buy a convertable/roofless car! (or another one in your case )

Now David, is this how you repay Pesky, eh?! He gives you a ride in his car and you betray his Campaign for Real Exiges in such an incredulous and heinous fashion (I get your point on Swiss roads though! ).

I thought it was only a DIY thing, but not that somebody actually thought of selling such a monstruosity!

And then look at the other with the big bling wheels!

Some people really didn’t deserve the S1 Exige.

I take consolation in the possibility that they have moved on to another sort of car to bugger, like… an S2

I thought the S2 was unbuggerable, until I remembered this…

Tim.

All this chat, although it is keeping this thread at the top , is not getting my car sold.

David - look at the side profile and you can see where the roof is concave between the struts - looks like an old fashioned pram, maybe that’s why you like it so much?
