Exige S - Upgrade - Advice

Really enjoying taking my Exige on track this year (two more to go) now thinking about one or two improvments:

Ohlins & upgraded brakes

Would very much welcome your thoughts, advice etc.

yes and yes

AP 295 disks up front 290 at the rear Pagid RS42 pads
and 46MM ohlins with front Motorsport ARB

Total fitted price with set up about 4.5k

yes and yes but you can do it cheaper than that…

uprate front discs and pads
uprate rear pads (my oem rear discs lasted me 18k of hard track/race miles no problems)

Adjustable ARB

Suspension to suit budget… non adjustable, sinlge way, two way…

I swapped from 2 way 46mm ohlins for single way 46mm ohlins earlier this year to fit the regs in LoTRDC for class A…

TBH Im actually much happier with the single way 46m than the 2 way 46mm…

If you dont really know 100% what you are doing with the settings you can get lost very easily. A single adjustable setting is far less taxing on both the brain and the wallet imho. My race times have not really changed from last year to this now I am on single ways and also running more weight…

single ways are great for track work when valved for that reason.

what the two way allows you to do is run it very well on track and then also very well on road, so getting the best of both worlds.

I soften my rebound much more on the road than would be possable with a single way shock.

one ways i agree are the best if set up for what you want but two ways are just so flexable.
