Exige S tuning...

Hi, had my exige S for nearly a year now, well April and I just can’t see any tuning options for it. I’m looking to get power from 218 to 255ish which I thought would be pretty easy on a forced induction car. Sadly it seems you have to spend all day on the phone with lotus trying to persuade them to bring out a kit or drive to bloomin switzerland. lol Is there anyway I can get that sort of power out my S in the uk? I’m willing to pay good money for it lol
surly 240 is obtainable as its the same engine and almost identical charger as the 240cups?
Thanks for any help. Alric

ring hangar 111 they do a S kit.

But if you are using it on track shocks are the way to faster lap times.

Komo Tec do an upgrade for the S which uses a water jacket on the cooler and an optimized map. It has 250 hp. Not to be confused with their turbodrive conversion which is something else entirely.

I’ve been looking into the Komo Tec conversion for some time now and had gone quite a way down the road (prices/fitting etc) when they informed me they had appointed Hangar 111 as their UK agents. As yet 111 have not fitted any kits and their first installation, as I understand it, is on Junks n/a car. I think he is have the full s/c conversion with the jacketed (greater cooling) intercooler. I have run the spec for this past a couple of ‘experts’ and doubts are being raised as to the longevity of the installation. Komo Tec have never told me how many of the installations they have carried out on the S. 111 have not released any prices yet - I assume they want to cost out the bits and pieces and the fitting time to Junks car first. Komo Tec quoted me just short of 3,000 euro incl VAT and fitting (in Germany) and I thought this a reasonable price given the potential 30 bhp increase. I am going to hang on for a couple more months (who needs the extra power when the roads are like they are at the moment) then review when Komo Tec/111/Junks have sorted it out.

ok thanks for the reply’s guys, so do I wait a bit longer then? Or show my interest with hanger 111 ? Surely it only needs the larger jets and a remap and then that supercharger can work like it should.

RED will turn an S motor into a Cup motor. They package includes a nnew roof with enlarged scoop. call for price as the one i have is word of mouth.

How about these people: http://www.silverstoneperformance.biz/

Who on earth is “RED” I want more power from my S too

Red just don’t appear interested at the moment. Said they will get back to me when they can assist. Silverstone (Matt) was a great help - particularly with comments on the Komo Tec setup. Matt thinks he can get to c. 250 bhp and quoted c. 3,500. Have agreed to go back to him and discuss pros/cons of Komo Tec/Hangar 111 towards the end of the month.

Wouldn’t it be better to talk to Hangar 111 about the pros and cons as well? After all Silverstone are a competitor so I wouldn’t expect them to be telling you its the best option for you.

Hangar 111 are not going to tell you the cons as they are tring to sell it.
