Do exiges normally make a ticking noise, when I picked my car up the bloke said they use a chain no belts, could it be the chain im hearing. Its an obvious noise, have just gone 7k on the clock.
Wonder whether to go back to them…

Mine ticks, always has.
not really a ticking, you can hear the chain and the supercharger whin, but not really a ticking as such
can you upload a sound clip? It is probably just injector ticking
I’m with Ade, the injectors can sound very loud.

Sounds promising shall have to get it recorded, excuse to use me fixed camera mount, thats gathering dust…
As the engine is very open unlike normal cars the injectors are certainly louder than normal, lets hope it is just that 
Depends on where the noise is coming from, the belt was changed on my last one and I got a ticking over my right shoulder straight afterwards. Mine even went back to lotus (along with other stuff) and their answer was they all do that. They could not explain why it never did it before the new belt…
The belt was removed and checked and all the usual stuff but a fault was not found, I changed the car and the ticking went 
An expensive solution but a solution all the same
