I personally couldnt do without air conditioning, but I might be wrong in thinking this comes with the touring pack. My car was a demo so I didnt spec it. Central Locking, electric windows are all things I also appreciate that I didnt have on my previous Elise. It sounds like your going to be doing more road driving than track work so Id say youd be better off with a touring pack.
On my previous Exige I didn’t go for any of the touring packs. Only sportspack + nitrons etc. nnd of course AC.
Had sound deadening materials put in.Not up to the job if you want a quite car. For longer trip (motorway/autobahn) my advice is to get earplugs (Even if you add sound deadening materials)

I may be wrong, but as I understand it AC, electric windows and central locking are all standard now.
A/C & central locking never had anything to do with the touring pack. A/c was (is ) an extra, central locking is standard on all toyota engined cars (except the exige cup versions).
Central locking, leccy windows are standard, ac is extra, you wont miss the carpet but it is fittable after. Driving lights ARE NOT a clam off job but can be a bit of a pita, you just need patience!
The only other thing I did on my 07 super sport was ask to have the door cards trimmed in alcantara as personally i dont like the plain silver plastic jobbies!
Just get it and drive!
Hmm, that’s strange. Sure it wasn’t optional (but fitted as standard by your dealer)? The Exige S2 that I had for a longer test drive over a weekend back in summer 2005 (prior to buying one) was a MY04 and definately didn’t have any central locking (it wasn’t a CUP car). In fact, I had a hard time figuring out how to lock the car because of it.
I was also a bit disappointed to see that my MY05 had central locking when I got it. After talks with a dealer, I was told that it was per standard as of MY05 among some other changes to the spec (i.e. like the Lotus writting at the back and some others)…
why would you be disappointed at central locking? if its a weight issue then you can save more weight than that by having a pooh before you go on track.
