Noticed this a few times but never really bothered me up until now.
From cold mainly but also when the car is hot, when you arrive at a junction and the engine revs drop, the engine speed blips slightly at around the idle speed (1k rpm) its as if the ecu dosnt know what to set it at. Usually it finds itself after about 10 seconds and levels out but a couple of times recently the engine has stalled, not good when you’re waiting to pull out of a junction. Its one of those stupid intermittent faults though, and dosn’t do it all the time.
Sounds exactly the same as the problem I had with my standard Exige. It was fixed by a new ECU map. I can’t imagine it’s going to be the same problem with an S, though
mine’s bad at start up first thing, after a few miles there’s no problem. Been going on for over a year now, local dealer couldn’t find a problem, just asumed it was one of those Lotus things!
pretty standard lotus problem, i have it on my m100, elise and exige. either a reflash has fixed it, or on non dbw cars adjusting the throttle quadrant. i dunno if the dbw have any sort of user adjustment to raise the idle a tad, it surely must.
the ac fix is usually for the resetting of the ecu problem, electrical noise etc.
