I’m all for being an individual! But…

If I’m honest, it just look like the car’s been in a bump, and the bodyshop have made a mistake reapplying the decal

That’s my opinion anyway!

Sorry prefer the stock location. Too much going on with the L O T U S lettering and the decal for me, but if you like it then thats what matters

I prefer and changed to the Lotus badge (also dropping Exige) as the lettering was a bit too MG/Rover for me but as far as your images are concerned I think it looks alright actually! Each to there own I guess.

Not sure about the decal tbh but I would be getting the boot lid looked at, the fit looks really poor from that pic, is it twin strut lifters?
Mine was twin strut and I had it changed to single and it fits miles better now.

Boothy

yeah noticed the boot before… seems quite common… CBA to fix

I dont have the ‘LOTUS’ accross the rear clam of my '05 Exige, any reason why? Think I prefer it without, plus those letters are always a pig to clean round, but just curious!

Do you have the badge instead? Mine’s June 05 and has the badge. I prefer it to be honest as it’s the Lotus ‘symbol’ rather than silver letters.

My 05 had silver LOTUS stickers across the clam which I removed and replaced with the badge.

Came off easy, I liked the look of 21TonyUK’s car in the DIY stripes thread (thanks for the Exige logo mate) which btw now runs up the engine cover.

Mine has the raised letters but I do like the look of the badge in the centre.

Time for a change methinks

Just to clear things up a little…

The Lotus roundel (enamel badge) originally only ever appeared on the nose of the car in green/yellow, or sometimes black/silver. During the 80’s & 90’s it started to appear on the flanks (carton/excel) & rear (esprit V8) of the car. Raised chrome lettering L O T U S on the rear of the car dates right back to the early 60’s with the elan & then europa models, & continued through all models in the 70’s & 80’s, so it’s not a new idea.

Personally i never liked the badge on the rear, with one exception…the Mk 1 cortina

removes anorak

Crikey - if he knows that much about ‘a badge’, how much does else does he know

i like the badge on the front, but not the back. I dont like the stickers on the back, but do very much like the raised letters - i think its classy. And now i have my sticker in my preferred location.

horses for courses, I guess.

also, not sure why, but i always think someone is likely to steal the badge off the back (obviously they could do the same from the front too…)

You could always park your car the other way around!
