Good afternoon all , I have problem and wanted advice from all the resident geniuses on here. My Exige ( S2 PP 240… 11,000 miles… ) has been off the road for 2.5 years, shameful I know, but in my defence I did have a really nasty Tibial Plateau Fracture (knee) and spent the first year trying to walk again. Anyway I regularly start it to reverse it out of the garage so I can do some work, but think the years of doing this, starting it for 4 mins at a time may have taken its toll. Today was MOT day for me to start using it again so yesterday I started it and tried to let it warm up , but in honesty it was running a bit rough so I just thought it needed a hard run so with this in mind I had the intention of doing that before the MOT . First thing this morning it was still running rough but the engine warning light came on. I got to the MOT station and learnt it was going to be failed because of the light ( new rules apparently ) . So can someone tell me it its likely to be a fouled plug , maybe a Lamba sensor needed a clean ? or any other ideas ? Will the engine warning light automatically reset if I fix whatever fault is or does it need a computer to reset it ?
I did give it a hard run on the way back from the test centre and its improved from yesterday and seems ok pulling through the revs but keeps stalling on tickover and rough on tickover .
Any ideas anybody ?
