Exige rally photos

One of my colleagues has just shown me his photos from the Promenade rally. So I thought I’d share some pics of our Exige’s in action along with some other nice machines.

First up was the Exige see-saw, the entry to the service area was designed to check for anyone running excessively low ride heights

I love the Pug 106 Maxi in the background, a fantastic machine.

This was Bill Bates in his slightly more rapid S1 :frowning:

The class winning Darrian (by almost 3 weeks and 4 days!) a fantastic machine equipped with Nissan touring car engine and Hewland paddle shift transmission.

The annoyingly quick Mazda rotary powered MkII that blasted past us on every stage, I’d have it tomorrow

My mate Alistair in his super rapid 1400 Nova, approx 160bhp, dog box. Do not be deceived, this thing shifts. He was taking time out of us…until he ran out of fuel, oops.

I’m not sure if he had any photos of the Escort Cosworth crew that Graham was servicing for, what number were you Graham?

Great photos Wes :sunglasses:

My mate was in car 70. Got up to 14th overall i think after stage two, then had a couple of front cv’s let go, the second one stopping the car on stage 8.

Are you at Anglesey at the weekend? Should be good event with dark stages on saturday evening :sunglasses:

Looking good fella :sunglasses:

I decided to do one last event this year which will be the LoT trackday at Oulton Park on Friday.

We didn’t get organised in time to do Angelsey. With the Exige glow worm lights I didn’t fancy trying the night stages either!

Good pictures, the first reminds me of some speed bumps we have around here :frowning:

This is the only shot of your exige, you were always out on stage when we were busy with our car.

Neill going well before the crash.

As the cv lets go and the car hits the curb :frowning: You can see the cv by the cone.

Good action shot but an unpleasant reminder for him

now thats what I call rallying :astonished:

Ok was not supposed to be of road, caught half way through my double spin on last lap of second race at Brands earlier in the year.

Check out the full set of pics full sequence of the spin towards the end http://www.snappyracers.com/album/010810Brands/

Hi Wes

Enjoyed the coverage on Motors TV - but where was Gareth?

Where was Gareth? Drying his hair.

“sorry Wes but I’ve got an open day at work” :tired:

I managed to rope in my friend John who was also a motor club mate many years ago when we were students. I owed John a full days rally after our last outing in the Puma only lasted 200m from the start line before the suspension failed.

He did a great job but Gareth has told him not to get too comfortable in that seat.

It was a slight step up in power for John as he sprints a works replica Fiat Cinqucento.
