Exige k24 project in sweden

Hi

Now i have started my Exige K24 Project

Since there is only one Elise s2 in Sweden whit the sunspeed kit I cant get some much help from here.

So i will post my exige project on this homepage and hopefully you can help me whit some support.

The car is a Elise 111s from 2001 whit nitro chassi.
Engine Honda k24, Civic Type-R gearbox and flywheel
In the future the car will get a supercharger.
We found a used Stark kit on Seloc, Real nice quality

The body is an exige found in Italy at UK Garage.



We are also looking for Exige 340 seats rims, racing parts etc so if you have anything for sale please send me a pm,

Hi there

The K24 block is taller and you will need a different exhaust manifold if it was made to fit the k20 due to this.

There is as k24 geeting a rotrex fitted as we speak and should be awesome when finished.

If you are using a JRSC you will need to fettle the inlet manifold to suit.

I was told that the exhaust kit from stark should fit, i hope so otherwise we need to make a new, the engine kit will need to be adjusted since the k24 is 19,5mm taller.

Tomorrow we will test fitt the engine and exhaust,

Iam going to need help whit the gear linkage sinc i didnt buy it, is it anyone that can help me

Surely best to buy it from Stark? You may (or may not) need to build a good working relationship with the guys there.

I keep that in mind

Now we have testfitted the engine, got some problems whit the k24 sump but i think we can fix it tomorrow, otherwise i will use a k20 pump and sump.

The stark parts fitted to the k24 engine, i just need to fix one of the engine mountings,

Everything looks really tight.

The only big problem now is the swedish carregister, i got BMW 166 as registrationplate on the Lotus

Its been a while now.

We hade some problems whit driveshaft but fixed it, so hopefully i will enjoy the car this summer.

the engine is a k24 whit jdm intake, stark kit and kpro.

Does anyone have the exige s1 logo or does anyone have a high res picture of a decal that we can use to make new decals to the car. we also need a picture of the decal infront of the rear wheel,

Interested to hear what figures your k24/k20 puts out… the Americans seem to inflate their figures somewhat !

i havent been on this page for a while due to other projects and work.

The car havent been on a dyno so i dont know yet.

The shop that sold me the parts says it should give about 220-230hp

whats done is

jdm intake manifold
start headers and sport cat
cold air intake
k pro.

I was trying it out against a friends ferrari 360 F1 and up to 160 km/h the lotus is a little bit faster but after 160 the ferrari goes faster.

Last week we put the car in the workshop and we will sort out bits and pices. My plan was to put in a supercharger but i have problems whit the driveshaft on the left side. The stark kit put the engine forward in the car making the angle on the left driveshaft bad. So after 3000-5000km i need to change the shaft :frowning:

Another option is to change the cam gears to honda k20 and remap it. It will give about 250-270hp (i dont remember the exact number) This is what one of swedens best honda engine builders told me.

The other thing i will do is to foil the lotus in matt oliv green foil.
