Cheers, might take a punt on these

:sunglasses: do it! I’d never talk to you again as I’d be green with envy

I’m well up for this…depends on how silly the bidding gets tho (!)

Plans expect it to be between 4 and 5k.

hhmmmm i think the listing was removed before the auction ended today. Anyone know why???

Never intended it to sell, was just finding out demand for it as it might get moulded. He was always going to end the auction early. He has 2 kits so if you offer him 6000 I think he’ll sell a kit.

Why then sell them for 6k? i guess they’re just chancing their arm and seeing if anyone would be daft enough.

It’s up for 6000 so I guess he is expecting offers of 5000. I would pay 4000 for it so I guess someone out there would pay more.

Been thinking about the price.

They are just raw clams. On the front you will need to fabricate a new splitter, mounting points for quick release, and if you are going to run it on the road you will need lights, so will need to find some of the recesses molds for those and bond them on. You might also need to get creative with the crash structure as the opening in the front goes all the way to the floor, not like the standard cars. Then you need to look at your oil cooling as there are no side scoops.

On the rear there is no boot box so you either need to find one of those and bond on, or run without and have the clam suspended on the rear wing pylons, so you then need a motorsport rear wing.
You would also need a single skin rear engine cover to keep the weight down on the then less rigid clam. Then you are going to need to widen the track to fill the arches, so new wheels and tyres. Then you will be looking at getting the whole thing prepped and sprayed.

Then you might need to up the power to match the new look otherwise you might as well be down the McD’s carpark in your Corsa.

I reckon that you are looking at around the 15 - 20k mark. So whether the clams are 4,5 or 6 isn’t the issue, its the total cost of the job.

Obviously it can be done in stages, step one buy clams and put them int he garage until the economy picks up and can finish the job. :frowning:

That’s my plan, there only ideal for track cars

Hasn’t most of the work has already been done quite a while ago, certainly the front end at least…
