I was looking for a while for a seat that is narrow enough to fit in an Exige’s passenger seat, but is flexible to use from really young to a bit older, and which isn’t an expensive feature packed seat as in reality the fancy baby seat goes in the family car. I’ve found the following and am quite pleased with it. It caters for kids 9mnths to 12 years old. It meets the necessary safety reg’s etc so all in all its pretty fit for purpose. Here it is (with link):
Yup, designed for standard inertia belts. …However, the seat uses four securing points - two on either side of headrest (visible in picture) and two under the black armrests, so in theory I think it would secure very well with 4-points. While the authorities might disagree, on the face of it I don’t see how it would be less safe using 4 points?!?
you lot are lucky, the mother of my umborn baby which is due on the 21/10 has said that she cant get in it till she is 10 years old, i so hope when the lil one is here she can keep secrets.
Welcome James and congratulations - if nobody has told you yet make sure you exploit the remaining time, to do trackdays, have some spontaneity, sleep etc etc…life’s about to change
