Due to an “opportunity” that needs some cash I may have to part company with recently acquired Cup 240, Titanium Storm road spec car - no cage or extinguisher but aircon/stereo etc. with harness bar and harnesses or seat belts and different back panel with speakers etc (both supplied).
The car is in immaculate as new condition - 1st owner had it for 2 yrs and kept as part of collection of 80+cars and he’d paid for such things as parking sensors, external battery charge socket and other bits and pieces - only has 3,500 miles from new (I’ve done 1,000 of those since end Jan when I bought it) with full B&C service history and recent proofs of purchase via B&C by me.
Not delighted about this as absolutely love the car and only had chance to give it a very brief track outing at Bedford when it showed what a stunning car it is on track and yet perfectly useably every day - for me the best compromise between practicality and performance that I’ve had with a Lotus (and this is my fourth!!)
If interested or you know anyone that might be (it won’t be cheap as I’m not desperate) then give me a call on 07970 566030.
How has ANYTHING you have said help David sell his car!!
Nonce!!!
Why are people so concerned with “helping” people sell their cars, I’d be happy to hear both sides of the story and make of it what i wanted; in any event shouldn’t we look after those joining our community rather than those turning their backs
Before anyone gets too upset - the last comment is said in jest.
Sean - i can read that comment in a positive way - having an unrealistic opinion of the value of the car might mean he does not sell it and misses out on the opportunity he’s talking about. A good friend gives good advice not just tells you things you want to hear.
Why are people so concerned with “helping” people sell their cars,
Because negative comments on prices and spec help non of us in the long run really Steve. Just about every other post in the f/s section (car sales) has to have someone jump in telling us that its’ too expensive or they wouldnt buy it because of there own personal chioces in a car… Some day you may come to sell your car and you’ll be grateful of it!!
I’m pleased the forum has been locked tbh and I’m sure it wont be any less busy than it has been (you may even find it gets more people advertising their cars/items).

I wasn’t trying to be arsy, I for one aren’t exactly happy at what Lotus did with the Exige, Exige S, Exige S GT, Exige 240R, Exige Cup 240, Exige Cup 190, Exige Cup 255, Exige Cup 260, Exige Club Racer, Exige Sprint…
Have I missed any other Exige?
It’s completley trashed the resale value of our cars.

Fook that, Lotus need to attract new buyers, & existing costomers looking to change/upgrade. That way it gives you sommat to complain about
Forgive me for being sensible, but why would anyone take a 15k hit in depreciation on their car and then spend another 40k on the same car with 30-50bhp more with a slightly different paint job and some stickers?
I can understand the Lotus Exige GT3 but I ain’t upgrading to an Exige S with options.

Thats a question for the Honda/Audi ‘upgrade’ boyz

That is the amongst the BEST thing to own a real S1 Exige! Only 598 (601) made… and not very many (200-300?) left in the UK!
A very special set of circumstances ensured there was only going to ever be ONE Exige S1…
Bit dissapointed you sold it dave (but well done at the same time) as I was very interested and it looked a lovly car. I just have to shift my 340R before I can be serious about getting one, as I sure you can understand.
