Nice one Giles! My baby and Exige were born on the same day and both seem to cost loads to keep happy and rival each other for noise! On the baby seat front (which you may have been joking about but it didn’t take me long to want to combine the two) if you’ve got harnesses it’s going to be tricky, I couldn’t find anything that was approved for anything other than a normal three-point belt. The only one I reckon will work happens to be the most expensive but then is also offers the most protection, including for the head (when the rest is fitted), most are appalling for a side impact. It’s the Recaro Start - http://www.motorsportworld.co.uk/frame-detail.asp?PAGE=/recaro-start/default.htm .That said, it’s only suitable for a baby from 6 months and although our chap is over a year (the Start goes up to 12yrs BTW) I’m going to leave it a few more month before we go for a pootle as, although he LOVES cars, I’m not sure the noise will excite him as much as me!You might want the comfort pack too (click on ‘Accessories’ at the bottom of the page) for really little people. Oh yeah, I’d also recommend vomit catching bibs (Mothercare) for longer journeys, although the seat cover can be washed (thankfully!).Congrats again, I (still) think it’s great. [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]Good luck with getting some sleep!Ian [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image]ps. Hey Phil/Trudy, they may do you a discount if you get one for each of yours! [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/wink.gif[/image]
Giles,Congratulations. Hope mother and baby are well. Let me know when you’re next taking the car out as I’ve not had the chance to take the Exige on the track yet.By the way, noted your comments about the Edwards Diffuser and how good it looks on a black car. Have you / anyone got any pictures as my pockets are now on fire !!!By the way, “Hello” to all other members from someone who’s only just discovered the website.Con McL.
