Nice car td_100 ! I am interested for a audi engine in my Exige. What gearbox have you got ? 5 or 6 ?
Hi franck, its got a six speed, but probably does not need it in my opinion, its got so much torque!
Sean will be along in a mo, but the 5 speed box is waaaaaay lighter.
Audi … remember when tuning my Golf … Went to JBS Auto Designs in Notts … They had an awesome Octavia (circa 450 bhp)

Man told me that the 5 speed is a little different and give the driveshafts a better working position…? Is that correct ?
Definatley. Distance across the output flanges of the diff is smaller, so you have longer shafts, so less angle to the uprights.
You do need to do some work to the inside of the gearbox to stop the dowels that hold the crownwheel to the diff coming out though.
Also main gearbox is smaller, so it comes out without removing the engine.
