Exhausts

Considering changing the exhaust for something a bit more sporty, options are the Lotus system or an after market system ie Moto build etc, can anyone give me a ball park price for the Lotus stainless system, and is this system a twin or single pipe type. Any info on any other systems would be appreciated.CheersDave

If you’ve got an Exige, the Lotus SuperSports exhaust is the route to go.If you can afford the extra pennies, they do a stainless steel version of it too.Around the 500 inc. fitting mark. One you’ve heard one, you’ll whip your chequebook out sharpish, it’s got a great race howl to it.

Is the SuperSports a single or twin tail pipe.CheersDave

Yup, the Supersport is a single oval pipe… Looks like this:- http://www.btinternet.com/~tjthompson/Gallery/exigerear.JPG

Hi guys,I am picking up my Exige on Saturday from Nick Whale in Birmingham with the 190 bhp upgrade. I know my new car comes with a sports exhaust but not sure which one. It has quite a distinctive shape in that it is oval. Can somebody tell me which make it is, and whether it is any good? It’s bloody loud, but thankfully, the engine is behind my head and it’s louder. From the sounds of it, it’s a supersports - the make depends how old it is - Janspeed made all the supersports exhuasts, but recently went down the pan (think they’re back in business now)

DaveTry www.race-speed.com (Owen Geddes)he does the Janspeed oval sports exhaust for around 325.00 incld VAT and delivery - should be able to get if fitted by any competent exhaust placeDavidPS Have the tyres arrived yet ?

Hi DavidTyres arrived this morning, so I’ll soon be road legal again. My original post ref exhausts was posted about a year ago, I think it was Kevin’s quire that dragged it out of the archives, sports exhaust was fitted after about two days of ownership, I just had to have something a bit louder [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image]Cheers Dave
