Exhausts for Exige

Hi

I currently have a Lotus-Power “Oval” Exhaust on my exige, but I was just wondering which was regarded as the best? Interms of overall, Performance, fit , looks ETC. I quite like the 190 Janspeed, but didn’t know if this was still availible. I still have the standard 177 twin-pipe exhaust, but god knows what it sound like! and it feels bloody heavy, or am i just week

Just interested to hear what you lot think

You’ve got the best! Okay, I’m biased, but IMHO it’s the best of all those I’ve seen & heard

i have a powerspeed twin-pipe exit. but only because i ordered it before i got in touch with da Edwardzzz about theirs… i’d still have asked them to put a twin pipe on the end of it tho’ 'cause i like the look a bit better
but next time i would probably go with 2bular

If you are track daying you have to careful about the dredded decibels as most tracks seem to be reducing noise levels … it is the opposite of taxation rates.
so be careful of the noise levels. My std system has been ok so far BUT bedford seems to be getting LOWER and lower every year

not sure what you mean by the Lotus-Power “Oval” Exhaust…is that just the standard one ex factory?

I have the original Janspeed sports exhaust that was fitted with the 190 upgrade - its a heavy bugger and not brilliant quality…although it has lasted nearly 5 years now! I actually think there were two versions of it though - a pukka stainless steel version and a lower spec stainless or mild steel one.

Would be interested to know all the options on the market at the moment as mine must be on its last legs now!

Think it’s the generic S1 version.

My old Janspeed supersports doesn’t fit anymore due to the new manifold layout.

No need to wish you a happy weekend, cos it looks like you’re well sorted Take care though, them there roads are very greasy/slippy

Re the noise regs and exhaust silencing pls check out my web-site www.2bular.com and the “latest news” section. the new S2G packing is hugely impressive - definitely the way to go.

Excellent Jim!.

But the tip on that repackable-through-the-rear-valance is still going to change, eh?

Struck me when looking at the website that you have either to get a 5 year old to do it or have the skills of a consultant gynacologist

or alternatively there must be a specialist Snap On tool to get it there

Well, I don’t even think it looks difficult, but it’s a 5 min job to take off.
And I have BIG hands!

Still, better done with a 1/4" ratchet than with a normal spanner.

Alternatively you have the choice of the classical design, and if you need to repack it you need to put the car on ramps, take off the undertray, exhaust and put all back.

Tough choice, eh?
