Looks like I need a new back box for the exhaust. I’m looking at Eliseparts, Hangar 111, Larini and 2bular. Any recommendations?
Thanks

2ubular.
I’d be interested in this also - as far as we can tell, the Exhaust on mine is standard, so I’ll be looking for some extra jazz. Seems to be a real lack of videos on YouTube for S1’s except for Larini.
Don’t suppose anyone has any clips of the 2bular or alternatives?
I also assume de-cats are out if trackday noise limits are to be adhered to…I did used to love the noise of my Janspeed/Decat S160!
I had a Janspeed and a de-cat. 104 Dba. Kicked off at Oulton!
Fitted an Elise Parts 6’’ silenced CRP. Got down to 98 Dba!
Larni sound really ‘crisp’ but quite loud.
My 2ubular sounds ‘sporty’ but is also quiet. Quality is just brilliant too!
Speak to HarveyT. He fitted a 2ubular on his… still keeps the great VHPD character, but even got him through Bedford.
Ian has a Larini and when he had a VHPD I always thought it sounded really great at full chat.
I’ll probably keep the cat, in all honesty - there were question marks over the legality of decats and insurance, and I can’t be doing the with the hassle of refitting the cat for MOT’s again, awesome noise or not…
Hopefully Harvey has a sound clip I can hear…
Hi Matt, welcome to the S1 club, still a relative newcomer myself 1 year in.
See youre a fellow Midlander, if you would like to hear a well run in 8 x 24 2ubular let me know, Im about this weekend.
Harvey
Thats an impressive looking pipe…(innuendo alert)
How do you find the noise/volume?

Is the photo location under the ‘JAWS’ poster a warning!!!
Having spent quite a bit of time BEHIND Harveys car Matt I can say the noise it excellent and the volume sensible!
Matt to be honest, on full chat all you hear are the throttle bodies, but it passed Bedford at 94.2db / 5000rpm static test - if it passes at Bedford you will have no probs elsewhere.
My N/A S2 2bular sounds bloody awesome with decat 94db at Donny!
Work of art pop flame bang
Thanks for the comments. Going for the 2bular.
are there any titanium exhuast made for the S1?
Don’t forget to post pics/impressions. Sound clip would be great too

Matt… TBH any ‘sound clips’ over the internet are a waste of space! Unless you had studio recording and playback tech available!
Many can assure you that the sound from the 2ubular is just great… but go and have a listen to Harveys (I think he offered???) to hear for yourself.
Looks wise… 2ubulars are great, but again the S1 system is basically hidden behind and under the rear clam so you wont really see the artwork!
Larni are very nice too… but a bit more raspy… ITG has one and his car sounded great… quite a bit louder than the 2ubular I thought.
Anyway, hows the car then!!!
The sound clips are never going to be spot on, but most modern digital cameras are good enough to give a fairly accurate representation of the actual sound - I used to do a fair few audio clips from my Canon G9 from my old car, and they were pretty darn good.
2ubular is probably the direction I’ll go, but would be interesting to hear some extra feedback.
I’ve not collected the car yet - everythings in place, picking up the keys at the weekend…just in time for the snow Remind me how good A048’s are in freezing/wet conditions??
Original optional Janspeed Sports exhaust was pretty good, but have an aftermarket stainless steel Larini fixed on at the moment which I think sounds pretty awesome and suits the VHPD perfectly - without CAT tho’ it fails the Donny db test 102db
AO48’s are good unless its standing snow
Chop, chop Graham get it fitted sharpish before the snow comes
Make sure you have a mattress in the back - if you are going to Sheffield
