I’m booked in at Bedford on the 13th Feb in the S1
The car came with the following fitted;
and has a standard one of these;
Can anyone advise as to whether it will pass the noise test or is it a case of hiring a noise meter?
Make a visit to your closest track day and ask them nicely to test your car, i wouldn’t travel to Bedford with out knowing because if it fails it’s game over.

Any suggestions as to what would be a good alternative but still has some ‘charater’

Suggest:
1: An EliseParts 6 inch silenced CRP running infront of the (VERY HEAVY!) Janspeed…
2: As above, but with an ‘Edwards’ custom made back box as per what the HOnda SC guys are using (Rob and Martin plus I am sure other rice burner guys). The afore mentioned LG had one fitted to his 220 BHP VHPD and it is bloody good (quiet!)
3: Dont go to Bedford!!! Unless you are in an electric car! They are SO strict about the noise stuff! BTW, when asked to set, 80% of your max RPM, that will be about 3,500 RPM!!!

Been to Bedford in the Exige S many times and never had to worry about the noise - hey ho.

I went to Bedford a couple of times last year and expected problems but did not have any. It was wet on both occasions but if you’re going in mid-Feb…
