Euro Blast 2009

Wanted a challenge picked up my first Exige S 3 days before event (long story)

Just back from 9 days of driving nivana on Track-Masters bi annual Euro blast.

Day 1 Home to just outside Le Mans
Day 2 Le Mans to Pau, France
Day 3 Pau Arnos Circuit in Morning, Pyrennes mountain roads to Torla Ordessa Canyon, Spain
Day 4 Pyrennes Mountain roads then sweeping roads to Collioure, France.
Day 5 Route De Verdon, Route Napolean to Nice, France
Day 6 Col De Turini, Alp Maritime, Col De Bennote (highest mountain road in Europe, Col de Vars and onto Rivoli, Italy
Day 7 cross country to Asconi, then north into Switzerland Susten,Grimsall pass etc to Interlaken.
Day 8 Interlaken to Luxembourg via some of the German WRC tarmac stages.
Day 9 Home via Champagne region roads.

One hell of a way to bond with car.

Part from faulty Aircon, Imobiliser, Indicators, Horn and some very worn A048s  we are home safely.

Great to meet french Exige drivers on track at Pau Arnos, big thanks to the circuit staff who drove 100 miles to pick up spare relays for Electronic woes.

Top tip no aircon whole trip, that stupid

Awesome

Now that’s what I call a trip - well done

Link from the Evo posse who attended a few of roads and some track action at Pau and the ring shown- Enjoy.

Next one is in 2011, will not be taking the Exige on that one

i did a euro trip to stelvio etc last year. I did it without even the interior fans working as the resister pack failed a few days before we left !

That was a little hot when sat stationary in traffic !!

Makes my suffering sound light compared to yours, after over a week with Bell Colvill hopefully car has been restored to its pre trip electronic state.

What was great was Pau Arnos circuit staff to fix some of the defects they sent a marshall on a 100km round trip to pick up a replacement relay for the indicators and the local Exige driver was even prepared to swap relays if we couldnt get a replacement, now that wouldnt happen at a UK circuit
