To transfer the power from the engine the RS4 engine uses a sintered double clutch plate.
Sintering is a method for making objects from powder, increasing the adhesion between particles as they are heated. Sintering traditionally serves for manufacturing ceramic objects, and has also found use in such fields as powder metallurgy. Sintering relates to diffusion.
The gearbox and transaxle is from an Audi A8 Diesel. 6 forward gears and reverse.
Would the DSG double clutch work in there?

afraid not mate…
You can get a racing paddle clutch for the engine though (MTM, I think). Some of the lads have had them in their RS4’s. Not all that good for the run for a pint of milk though mind, quite arkward to pull off smoothly.
