First of all thanks for all the replies to my last post. I have checked for a thermostat after checking on how quick the car warms up. And as I suspected it has been removed. I have now fitted the eliseparts remote version. The temp is now in the 80 to 90 mark. But the fan appears to be cutting in at about 90 so I think there could be a fight on between the two. Can anyone tell me what temp the fan does cut in at and is it controlled by a temp switch or a temp sensor input to the ecu that then drives an output to a relay. Will have to get a manual on the car I know.
The fan is controlled by the brown(ECU)sensor and the blue sensor is used for the stack display. Both are located below the coil pack on the left side of the engine. When they go they tend to under read so its probably worth changing both.

in addition to what moles says… the fan on mine used to kick in at about 95-98C and went off again at about 90, but it doesn’t work at all now
I need to replace it and Sean was going to tell me what diameter it is so I could buy an aftermarket one before I take the clam off to replace it…
