I am noticing that the engine tends to rock backwards and forwards when accelerating / decelerating and its worrying me a little… 
I’ve read in previous threads that the engine mounts could be to blame.
Will the uprated engine mounts cure the problem i am experiencing?
Help most appreciated…

I’ve had my fair share of gearbox woes already, thankfully all sorted now
Is it an easy job for a competent diy’er or a garage job?

Mine was initially crap also but with new cables, Letsla gear linkage, the cable ends from the Motorsport cables, some decent oil and a “lot” of adjustment finally got it as good as it gets.
Worth spending some time. Much nicer to drive now.

Totally agree, and I did all the above !!!
Inserts are great value. Bit more vibration on tickover but never it notice now.

Fairly straightforward to fit… just need to choose the right spanner and sockets as space is not huge.
