Engine Misfiring from Tickover

Before I get the spanners and duct tape out this w.e. wondered if any of you guys had experienced current prob I’ve got.

Engine struggling to pick up from tickover (tickover is fine) - misfires, then whoosh away she goes like a good ‘un. Fuel consumption seems to be a tad high at the mo’, but am told some wonderful flames coming from the exhaust

plugs/gaps, plug leads. Water in plug holes???

I had water in my elise PH’s and it would only run on 2 pots

Yep, first thing to check, all the ignition components…

Have you had the recall work done on the engine mapping. My engine was “dying” when you put your foot on the throttle at tick-over, and then coming to life after almost stalling.

This has now gone with the remap. Happy days!

Reckon this will have been done - it’s been super for the last 38k miles

Checked leads/plugs unfortunately not those

Think I might leave it as is - following cars seem to be giving flames a pretty respectable gap
