Elise windscreen visor

Does anyone know of a company who can apply a quality darkened visor to an Elise S1’s windscreen?I know that Lotus sell the ‘Lotus Sports’ one, but I don’t want the words all over it, plus it’s not low enough to stop the glare from the early morning/evening sunlight. Can something be sprayed onto the out/inside or does it need to be a vinyl type material applied to it?Any help/advice will be gratefully recieved [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]

I believe Pesky’s Exiges.com strip comes in two parts. The first plain (that may interest you) then the wording goes on over it.He strikes me as the kinda chap that may be willing to help you!Ian [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image]

If your shades aren’t dark enough, just pull down your baseball cap.

ScottIDG is right, I can supply just the backing strip. As I normally buy both bits together, I don’t know how much the backing strip alone will be. I’m going to see my man on Saturday, so I’ll find out, & let you know.

ScottSince I had mine made, we’ve changed the “depth” by 1/2" so it covers more of the screen. I will mail you a photo of RussT’s car with the later design.Fitting - apply plenty of soapy water to the top of the windsreen, so that the strip will initially “float”, enabling you to allign it properly at the top of the screen. You then squeegy the the water/air bubbles from under the strip with an old credit card & sponge. From the inside of the car you will be able to tell if you’ve got rid of the bubbles! Use a sharp craft knife/scalpel to then trim the strip around the curve at the edge of the screen. Leave for an hour or two before washing the car/using the wipers.I’m told it’s quite easy [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]
