Elise to exige owners?

Guys,I really like my elise, but the exige is starting to grow on me. Any of you folks owned an elise previously and can tell me a reason to upgrade? What were the pros and cons of the exige versus the elise?PS will be looking at a New Alu exige tomorrow… So a reason is needed quick…

where would I start - power was a define, sound a really good bonus, high speed handling is just so much more confidence inspiring, looks are awesome…and last but not least, gf says the seats are more comfortable!

Yep, I’d agree with Steve. Owned a std Azure Blue Elise, saw/heard Steve screaming past me with flames popping out of the exhaust - that alone sold it to me… Handling/grip is much better, wide/mean stance and awesome looks, more power, the supersport exhaust…Everyone’s seen Elises hundreds of times before but the Exige is different - people look in awe at what has just gone past them… You can’t help watching other people to see the expressions on their faces…Funnily enough - my missus thinks the seats are much better too… [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/wink.gif[/image]If you get one, you’ll not regret it (well, until the warm, sunny weather in 9-10 months time!).

I’ve been practicing. heat all the way up and the hardtop on all summer [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]My real reason is that it will be cheaper for me to insure than a modified elise (go figure…) Also I have analysed my driving and only use my car for fun(+trackdays) and to/from the airport (b roads,15mins) So the elise/exige will be a practical car.

just to tell you the truth, I just got a bit bored with me Elise and wanted something more exciting and tuning the Elise (engine/suspension/tyres and all that) would have added to a similar amount of dosh but now, I’ve got a new car again, which is much more exciting…

[image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image] I really wanted to keep my Elise when I bought my Exige but the dealer convinced me that if I did I’d never drive it as the Exige was so much more exciting and capable. I have to say that they were absolutely right; aside from maybe one outing with the roof off just because you can, the Elise wouldn’t have been taken out of the garage if I still had it. The Elise is a great car, but the Exige is sooo much greater! IMHO the Exige represents the same sort of step on from the Elise as the Elise represents from most other comparable cars. tell ya what, Tony, you should be a salesman…he-he…by the way, how was your little trip ? cheers,Bruno

Sadly not as good as it should have been - Sue broke her leg in a restaurant and we had to fly back, which is why the astute amongst you will have noticed that we’re back early. We left the car at the factory and will have to fly back to collect it when Sue’s leg is better. However, the launch was fun - it’s always worthwhile going to new supercar launches [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image] although personally I’m not too convinced about the new car. I can now reveal that I first saw the Murcilago two years ago; I wasn’t convinced about it then either, and thought that we had persuaded them to rethink the design, but obviously not significantly. Im just not sure its wild enough for a new Lambo, but maybe it’ll grow on me. Id love to hear other peoples opinions if its not too off topic…

Its in this month’s EVO, out today.(How’s that for a sales pitch?)I know what you mean Tony on a looks front but I haven’t read the article yet. Although if I was spending my money I’m sure the improved (Audi quality) interior would help.
