Jonny, what bhp is that thing currently packing?Ta, Ian [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image]

Just arrived home after RussT chauferred me to Donny is his new VW R32 (Bloody nice mota too [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image] )We were “entertained”, in spectacular style, by Jonny in the Honda powered Elise. Even in its “basic” form, the powerplant is very, very impressive, & I for one will be going down the Honda route as, & when the time is right for me. The car spent much time out on track during the day being driven hard, & as far as I am aware, the engine/drivetrain performed perfectly - same couldn’t be said for the brakes though, which I’m sure Jonny will agree with, could do with an upgrade to cope with the enhanched performance from the Honda components! No doubt Russ will wish to add his thoughts/observations [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/wink.gif[/image]Big thanks to Russ, Jonny & his team for a cracking day out [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]

Absolutely agree with everything Dad says. The Honda is 197 standard, and feels unburstable, with an easy upgrade of 30 or 40 horses. Along with more torque & a close 6 speed box, it was brilliant, and I wouild like to thank Jonny for the spin. If you are thinking of a rebuild, or TT or whatever, try this conversion first, you will not regret it. (No ties to BaT etc.)p.s. the R32 is great as well. p.s. - what am I offered for a vhpd rebuilt 10k ago with Emerald, Jenveys, EBD exhaust manifold, 1227 cams, ported head, fully floating pistons etc. close ratio gearbox, HD clutch, driveshafts etc. ?

Ian,Let the revolution begin! May be better to call it evolution, but others are using that term quite freely already for far less of a giant step in the process. OK, let’s call it a Quantum Leap, how’s that? Getting 340+ HP out of the K20A will be the evolutionary phase.Cheers,Joe
