ECU removal

Does anyone have any tops for doing this?

I’ve removed and hacked many an ECU loom in my time, but never on an Exige!

I believe it’s in the engine bay attached to the rear bulk head? Is it an easy job?

Any advice or pics of where it’s located would be good.

I have this but not that clear…

TIA

Sector 111 instructions says it all - release the 2 connectors as shown, undo the 4 nuts and thats it.
I got my ECU reflashed with the lower cam change - removed, sent to Hangar 111 for the reflash , reinstalled, job done. Only thing to note, advisable to disconnect battery first, make sure car left unlocked in case alarm throws a wobbler and prepare for a MIL light when ECU reinstated. For me, the MIL light went out after about a couple of hours running and 10 restarts or so.

It is on the bulk head, just left of centre, easily accessible.

dont mind me asking, how much did this cost, and was it really worth it? what revs does the cam come in now?have been considering this myself

Cost me a lot as Hangar111 had to send to Lotus, but I think they can do themselves now as cost down to 350 inc vat - bargain I reckon if you are tracking the car as the 2nd cam is there when you need it - lose the step in power which was impressive but only because there is a hole in powerband with the standard set up.
They also do an ECU optimisation which will take advantage of exhaust and intake mods and allegedly give 200hp, only 470 inc VAT but I have no experience of this kit I’m afraid.

Thanks chaps!

Sounds fairly easy then.

This is for the Gotham 270 upgrade so should be fun

Make sure you don’t forget about the battery Mark other than that it’s quite straight forward you’ll see.

Ah yes - does the alarm go off when you disconnect?

Had a look today and it’s a bit more tricky on the S, as you have to remove the intercooler pipes to get to it.

I shall not be defeated!

Got to find the injectors next

No alarm mate
