ECU remap

Does anyone have any recommendations of people that can remap the n/a Toyota ECU to handle uprated cams?

I ran my car with Piper 285s on a Hangar 111 remap for 18 months before going SC. Very noticeable extra mid range torque but no extra top end power.

Negligible benefits due to the limitations of the stock ECU. If your car is 2006 onwards then there will be an after market plug & play option shortly that you can do a full live calibration on yet it still runs all the standard ECU functions \ CAN etc

Will allow full control of cam phasing, change point etc.

Which 111 remap was that? I’m already running the Lotus Sport ECU with reduced change point, is that a similar map?

I might fit the cams anyway and try them (Catcams stage 2)

It was originally running their 200 map. I had the Lotus Sport map before that (and before the cams) but it started to get too lean when the exhaust manifold was replaced.

Give Greg a ring I’m sure he’ll offer some advice. He’s got some interesting stuff in the pipeline as well. I’m really looking forward to getting mine back after the winter.

Did you plan on towing a caravan then ??

for real time live mapping Essex Autosport (formally Sinclaire) is your only option, I pay 300 for my new map with the dyno session, however the first one might be more as they need to deal with the ECU, give them a ring

1k…ish :astonished:

Crikey 1k for the first time… :frowning: but at least it is only 300 each time after  and mine has been done a few times…

Mine’s being picked up by Lipscomb’s today
New pump, adapter and reflashed ECU to 260,fitted =692 INC VAT
Bargin of the century.
And they agreed to fit my Pro Alloy fuel tank gratis whilst they are at it.

Bloody brilliant price that, especially as you are getting the tank fitted which is a couple of hours to fit.

Ditto …

That is a BARGAIN, how much are the uprated injectors that a std 220s would need then?
Was planning on getting mine into CN’s some time soon for this (i would also need the injectors tho) but is 1950 at the moment for the same including the injectors.

My last set of injectors (RC not Lotus) were about 400 plus fitting

Cheers Ade, taking that into account the Liscomb price is still much much lower than the CN’s price, what am I missing here as loads of people have done the CN upgrade but if the Liscomb one is nearly half the cost then why is everybody not going for this upgrade.

I’d get that in writing quick !!! - I think the pump alone and fitting is almost that. ECU flash is 300 ish

So getting back on track so as to speak, is the map Essex MS have the CharlieX version? Is that the only one for aftermarket products and are they the only people doing it…JUST THE MAP that is. If so wouldnt doing it by region surely be better all round. I mean a journey to Essex from Tyne & Wear (for example) and a possible stop over on top of a grand- :astonished: is a right PITA! . I thought a few others were fitting Franks Katana kits in the UK?

Im moaning about price and convenience I guess and I have no idea how any deal or loyalty payment is set up with however but surely more of us would use it if it was more convenient to do so?

There is not so much of a problem if you want an off the shelf map, this can be done by sending them the ECU, obviously if you want a bespoke map you have to take the car and therefore suffer the costs of travel etc.
This was the same for me when I ended up taking my car to JSR you pay your money and make your choice, I happen to be lucky and close to Sincs and unlucky and bleedin miles from JSR. On the plus side ask me nicely and I could put people up for the night if they need it

Thanks mate I know  but you miss the point it is just the map. You like I quite rightly trusted JSR with a full gearbox rebuilld which is not a days work.
