can any one tell me is airfields are more prone to chip your car then a normall trackday-Some one told me elvington was a nightmare for stone chips and wondered if this was the case for all airfields. Could be interested in this one as it isn’t to far from me

Depends on the airfield.

Elvington IIRC wasn’t too bad but wasn’t great either. More prone to trashing a set of tyres quite quickly (3 hours for me from 1000miles old to illegal ).

Bruntingthorpe used to be really bad but has been improved.

Its ONLY Javelin who are allowed to run Cars at EF, its a motorbike race cct run as non-profit and they don’t want too many car trackdays destroying the tarmac which is pretty good all round – no stone chips and good surface.

I was there on the Saturday (4th) with 7 or 8 other Exige and lots of Elises.

A wee in-car vid here, brakes are shot and look out for the train!
