A run with a friend earlier this week…
Can’t beat a yellow Exige

Up and out at 7.30. Headed north from home In Churchtown, south of Lancaster, through back lanes close to the Trough of Bowland. Picture taken at a high spot on route called Jubilee Tower which gives views over Morecambe Bay to the Lakes.
I had no plan in mind but continued north to Devil’s Bridge at Kirkby Lonsdale and into KL town centre in search of a coffee. None to be found.
Back on to A 65 towards Skipton. Found coffee and Danish in Ingleton, continued on A65 to Long Preston before turning right to Gisburn, then A59 to Whalley and back the lanes to home. Just a mile short of 90.
Mostly traffic free until latter stages as the morning wore on. Cracking run.
Next I fancy trip over to Kirkbymoorside and then via North York moors to Middlesbrough. Done it once years ago in family Focus. Mrs Thommo who had no idea where I had gone and was most surprised to get a call from a supermarket car park in Middlesbrough.
Early or late is the way to go.
I’ve just been to Scotland for 4 days in my Exige. Very busy though, but some good sections.
