Muu was nice enough to point me over here after I made a thread (http://www.lotussport.org/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=4399) asking about Mr Pesky’s fantastic orange Exige. Anyone willing to share information - paint code/brand?
It’s actually a unique mix of various paints, devised by Stephen Mattison, some 4 years ago.
As it’s “cellulose based”, I don’t believe it is available anymore.
Thanks for the information. Perhaps you have the last Dynorod Orange Lotus.
There is another one, which hopefully will be back up & running later this year. Keep an eye open for updates from its owner - AndyD
Is the paint neon? It’s difficult to tell from the pictures. It appears dark orange, red tint?
I’d describe it as “dayglo”, & no, it’s not a dark orange!
No doubt a stunning color.
Camera sensors cannot deal with a colour that saturated so no picture really does it justice.
i guess this is not a factory color but does looks very bright!!!nice!!
Windsock orange … very fitting cos they too are full of air
Says the owner of a chrome brown Elise Coupe!

Deadline is now August … 2011
August is also my goal. Trying to get this off to paint in the next few weeks. Here’s how it looked a few month ago. Some progress since then, mostly sanding and other prep.
The rear slats are mocked up in cardboard for the moment.
Engine is a built 2zz-ge, the same setup as Frank’s first turbo setup, should be around 450rwhp.
Very cool - please keep us posted as your project develops - thanks.
As Rob says - Very cool
We love build threads, so please keep up up to date.
going to look great once done. On the other end of the subtle scale to dynorod, how about porsche macadamia
I’ve got some calipers that colour I could sell you
Car looks cool!!!
But you would have to be ‘nuts’ to paint it that colour.
