Driving on the continent

I’m going to take the yellow peril on holiday in a couple of weeks. We’re going down to the south of France, Monaco, Nortern Italy, and maybe Switzerland. My main question for the collective is what to do about the poxy stickers you’re supposed to put on the headlamps. Do I really have to get them fitted under the plastic covers, or will I get away with sticking on the headlamp covers?Anybody got any other comments on things I should bear in mind? I presume I’m not going to get hassled about emissions and noise regs?

Brendan,if u come in south of Switzerland,let me know…we can meet.Nicolas

Brendan, don’t worry. (I sure didn’t)You can search in this site for a post I made after a round trip to Italy (search for Uldis). Apart from an alternator belt while still in the UK, the trip was ueventful, really nice.I didn’t install those stickers and didn’t adjust the lights. And I asked in the border and to the local police and they couldn’t care less.It is the british that are so picky about light adjustments, most of the people in the rest of the world don’t get bothered by it.And I didn’t install the GB sticker in the back either. You’ll find that Optimax has different names in each country, but you’ll find a high octane Shell fuel.Good trip! [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]Uldis
