Drivers door will not unlock!

Can any one let me know please how to get the drivers door open from the inside.
The door has locked itself and is stuck in the deadlock state.
Lifting locking peg at the top rear of door manually has no effect at all, and the door card has a fixing under the door for removal!

Try unlocking from the outside with the key, not the remote central locking. Sometimes if the key has been used then the remote won’t unlock until it has been unlocked by the key first.

Have you tried the button in front of the gear lever? Worth a go.

I’ve had the operating rod disconnect from the door handle on the inside so can only open door from outside, not from inner handle. No difference if locked or unlocked in that state. Bit fiddly but easy enough to access by removing door panel and inner door latch. I repaired by bending the end or the rod a bit more to reduce chance of it jumping out and using a small tiewrap to secure in the fitting - difficult to explain but obvious when you see it.

edited to add: As I remember, in addition to the screws, there is a plastic press fitting at the lower front edge of the door card to remove, then it can be slid off rearwards.

I also have now got into the door inner, behind the panel, but it seems my problem lies with the unlocking mechanism not being strong enough to activate the opening latch when the door is in the closed position. Works fine if I use the key to lock and unlock the car, and when I test the mechanism when the door is in the open position!
At least I can use the door now!
