Doors

Who knows how to change them or a Wiki to do it?

Wiki would say put away your tool…
Would also say see JDS

I realise that, but he is now properly employed and not so easy to source, so I am doing it myself :astonished:

first full carbon door is on, pictures to follow

Well done Ade!!

How cool is this

:sunglasses:

New doors are 10.7kg each built up with paint and lacquer, need to weigh an old one in the same state, I’ll try to do that tomorrow.

I bet that closes with a hearty clunk. Not

Only jealous

Actually the sound of the doors shutting is not too bad really.

I weighed one of the old doors tonight and they weigh 14.7kg each so a weight saving of 4kg per door.

not as good value as the carbon roof or boot lid, but very cool indeed. Now only need to find another 9kg to get below 900kg

there are 2 ways I could but won’t do this, junk the AC or remove the radio and front speakers, anyone else got any good ideas?

Diet!!!
(kettle calling pan…)

They look awesome Ade :sunglasses:

senna

Looking good Ade

Looks nice buddy, 8 kg is a good saving

Is there much saving in a carbon defuser ??

Not a huge amount and the weight is quite low down, don’t really care as it is ubber cool looking :sunglasses:

Wow they look ace . Still got carbonitis then ade

Thanks, I think I may now be over my carbonitis, mostly because the only things left are not really cost effective to change.
If I could get direct replacement clams I might be tempted, the problems is they are not direct replacement and I really like the fact the car is still an acceptable road car (just).
