Hi again,

Can you get replacement door rubber strips for the door part that is on the exterior and just below the glass?

It looks like these are the part numbers …

They seem a fraction expensive for OEM items. Are there alternatives?

Quite a complicated seal…
Just fitted a pair on the project Elise.
They are the inner and outer seal joined at the rear end.
Very easy to bend/ damage when fitting them!!!
Not aware of cheap aftermarket alrenatives

Are these the same seals that someone on MLOC has been investigating getting made?

Price there was around £150 per pair Inc postage.

They are £250 something for a pair from lotus. Assuming they have them.

I got one side replaced on my Elise back in 2016, was closer to £50 iirc from Lotus at that time! I never did get the other side, might actually still be on back order under my name!

Exige ones mercifully are fine, so hoping to preserve these ones!

I had both sides done by Ollie at Phoenix Motorsport a couple of years ago. I might be wrong but I think they came from Holland

S1 are totally different and much easier to imitate than the S2 ones, unfortunately.

Ah yes, I see.

They are the old design though from the look of them. I will be in the same boat again I think unless a redesign is done

Oops, sorry, I didn’t realise S1 and S2 were different. Still, I think Ollie at Phoenix could may be help if you hit problems as he’s on the ball for all matters Lotus
