Must be the first one home so I’ll start the thread
Had a great carless day at Donny today - lots of friendly faces and pax laps.
Thanks to Ade, Rob, Scotty , John and Will.
Really good to experience other peoples cars and the differences between what is essentially the same car (S2’s that is)
Ade’s had more power than my old car but I was seriously impressed with Will’s car and his driving.
People were saying ‘Will’s doing 120 through the craners’ - I thought that was not possible in a S2 - Er it is and when it started raining and everyone pitted Will just kept going - and going hard
My experience with A048 in the wet has been hideous - obviously nobody told Will they’re crap in the wet !!
Had some great laps in Scotty’s 2-11 - the car is epic but still haven’t 100% decided on one yet.
Firstly, I hope all got home ok. Bloody dangerous out there in the rain tonight guys…
My Exige was a FWD through the standing water on the motorway! Drove about 40mph the whole way home… Floods across the back roads near home so the splitter was just about a surf board! Bloody glad I did those last laps in the wet as at least I knew??? where the limits were???
Bloody weather! R888/AO48 seem fine as long as there is no standing water! Got quite a few looks as I was being passed on the inside lane!
REALLY enjoyed the day! Many thanks to Martin who fixed my loud pedal… but not his back! Also for the huge grin that having a drive of the SC Honda provides!!! Just manic!!!
Superb to share the experiences and banter with a great group of people in owning just the BEST car (S1 Exige!! ) Liked Mr Beans Orange shoes painted with HUMBROL!!!
Hope the curry was good… the other half is getting ready now for that dinner I promised! Give and take eh!
120mph…I kept very quiet Thanks to all, great seeing everyone, curry was lots of fun too. Spa is going to be a mega BLAST next year if we get that sort of turn out! You were missed Marky…time for a new set of tyres me thinks, they were awful today!
Glad you got home safely, Ben - hope Ian did in particular, & everyone too.
Superb day/evening - many thanks to those who made it happen, & everyone who attended the trackday, & meal. Can’t tell you how much I enjoy these “Exiges Days”, & after the rather miserable summer, yesterday was a real boost for the old chuckle muscles
Glad you got home safely, Ben - hope Ian did in particular, & everyone too.
I took a detour to get Ian within ten miles of home with him close behind me with his only his sidelights on (his alternator was on its way out)…so I’m pretty certain he got home safe.

Sh1t ! Driving back to Hampshire in that rain with just his sidelights on ! Now that must have taken more concentration that some of the corners at Donnington. It was lashing it down on M1 !
Glad you both got back safe and bet you slept like logs last night !
Also hope Ian’s car is a relatively straightforward (read inexpensive) to repair.
Great pics Eddie & Con (Any chance of sending me high res copies please?)
Luckily, it stayed fine for most of the day, with the rain coming intermittantly between 2.30 & 3.30, then the horrendous just before 4, which put an end to the trackday.
So sorry I missed this. but work intervened.Did consider the “sickie” but decided against it as there are so few of us left to produce Britain’s finest newspaper . . .
