Has anyone had any issues with their usual 98 db noise limit (with S1 Exige)? How strict are they with enforcement?

Not had any problems in a couple of visits there now, mine’s an S1 with de-cat and the lotus supplied Janspeed.
They’re all different though and can vary a lot, so best to get it tested somewhere before booking up i’d have thought.
As for Donny themselves, unfortunately they have to be pretty strict on the enforcement (due to the locals complaining), although you’d normally get a couple of goes to make things quieter AFAIK.
Just bolt a couple of Jet engines for the day and no one will mind your stage three and demon induction kit

Yes, they are strict, the ONLY time I have been blackflagged was last time there.
Mind you, I had a racing exhaust that measured 96db drive by at KH, but at Donington it measured 100-103 drive by

Know exacttly what you mean, makes you sick doesn’t it. Worse than most at Donny seeing as how there’s bloody big planes taking off and landing every few minutes too.
Noise (or lack of) at tracks is just getting worse and worse - look at what’s recently happened at Castle Combe for example, all because of a few complaining locals who chose to live next door to a race track.
They are strict, but just lift as you pass the sound meter and you’ll be OK
