Donington Park Re-opening Plans

I’ve just received an advance copy of this press release…

PRESS RELEASE: 29th APRIL 2010

DONINGTON PARK RACE TRACK

RE-OPENING PLANS

The Plans to re-open the new improved Donington Park Race Track are progressing well.

The Project advisors, led by ex Aggregate Industries Director Philip Barltrop and Duncan Green of Pick Everard Consulting Engineers, have met John Symes of the MSA, and we are currently finalising plans and costings for the works to repair the damage done in and around the Race Track at Donington Park.

We are confident that the new improved Race Track can be re-opened, subject to obtaining the necessary Racing Licences, during August 2010.

Donington Park Race Director, Robert Fearnall, is working on an appropriate Race Programme for 2010 which we will announce as soon as possible.

The re-opening of Donington Park will ensure that the Circuit is once again available for National and International Motor Sport.

Spot on, Andy! :sunglasses:

Somehow I doubt it…

“yes my dear, I’ll make sure the motor car ragamuffins will be right royally fooked again”

Blimey, that’s you & 6970K on a night out!

Yep, we keep our barnets looking well groomed under a hairnet as we always leave the roof off on ladies night

Well spotted Uncle P taken after a rave in Workington as I remember

More like after a workout in Ravenglass

LMAO! (I believe that’s the correct terminology, albeit abbreviated)

As a track day novice, I’ve never done Donington (except for terrifying lap with Matt Becker in the then new Exige S)but I’d love a session later this year. Let’s hope it’s back soon.
