Not sure how a faulty fuel gauge can cause that.

Too many Caterhams and Ginettas there, so no breakdowns, meant I did not get any track time in the Clio to test it, good news was it was reliable driving to and from, therefore I hope to be ok for Easter. I fully expect to be considerably slower at Anglesey this year with near continuous use of my right indicator

No harm done I was packing up to head home before the oil appeared. About a litre lost at the circuit, topped up, then the same lost again on the drive home.
Proper mess over the diffuser, but the dry sump tank has ample reserves. Its all fixed now, a seal had gone in the dry sump pump. All back together and it had its MOT on Friday.
All set for another year’s careful motoring.
