Doing something different when recovering lotus interiors

Look really good.

Can you get the more of the bare shells and trim them to your own specs, or were these a one off?

i will be getting more in the coming months and try and keep some in stock. yes i can trim and make them to spec. i should have everything set up to take orders on them by early feb.

Great work, you are on a winner there.

If you can get bare shells at a competitive price, then you are onto a winner I reckon!!

Look what Ash just did for me…

Is it a hat and a chastity belt

Nice strap-on

hang on you’ve covered carbon sills?

sick puppy!

Weirdo, adding back weight in for vanities sake :frowning:

They look really good John, reminds me I must get my 2-11 pax seat off to him for re-trim…

Looking great Jonny, cant beat a bit of alcantara.

Who is the hat for?

Lol sorry Ash I demand this kind of madness. It may add weight and it may cover carbon but my willy gats cold and I had know where else to go

Looking forward to seeing them in the car. Was a shame to cover the carbon as they had done a great job.
Btw got some news about Anglesey coming in the next few days so will keep you all informed.

Your garage is next to mine Ash so I’ll be a abusing that Tea offer.

I had my side pods and access panels painted today too.

Long time no speak.

Been along time since i have posted anything on here or seen anyone since Anglesey 4 months ago. So i thought it was about time i showed everyone what Ive been upto.
So it was are real mad rush to get ready for Anglesey. we had a 2 week stint of working late nights and full weekends to make sure my car was fully retrimmed and i had enough products and ideas to show people.
Every one of you was great to talk to and gave me some great ideas to start moving forward.
Here are some pictures of the finished product at the track

I have also been doing some work for our distant cousins with the VX220’s. One of them (Tom) had a mad idea to have a bright Yellow and carbon leather interior in his silver VX. After alot of toying with the ideas, and to not make it all look a dogs dinner. We finished up with this

Its not just lotus cars that seem to be coming my way. Over the last few months i had an old school friend get in contact with me saying he has started up his own little business rebuilding and custom making Land Rovers. Mostly Defenders. He continues to tell me that he is making a one of 90 pickup thats going in a magazine and needs a interior as bespoke as the car. so we did everything, from the door cards to the binnical. the seats are just standard but have been redesigned with the way its all fixed up to give it more definition.

I think all this lotus work im doing has rubbed off on my dad. He has always been a man into his big German cars and always slated my Exige. Then one day he came with me to Ollies (pheonex motorsport) and saw this Excel. Then the idea of a project came up as he know some one that could sort the interiors at a special father son price (free) and we know a good painter. So we purchased it there and then and thats what has been keeping me mad busy over the last month or so.

Even though it has been 4 months since i last posted, this will be the first time i have had some free time to message you and to make a start on moving my business forward.
Please keep all your input coming. All of it good or bad helps me.

thanks for reading

Ash,
